Julie Oskin-Todd, Managing Member

Julie brings over 12 years of experience to the team, as well as a wealth of innovation and creativity. She previously owned Sterling Spirits in Florida, a wine and alcohol broker. She took 8 years off to stay at home with her son, and most recently spent two years at a local distributor where she was a territory manager and marketing director. Julie is very involved in fundraising efforts in West Virginia and sits on many boards. Julie will be in charge of all marketing and promotion at Galaxy Imports and Brokers.

James W. Todd. COO

James brings 40 years industry experience dating back to 1979 when he was with the E&J Gallo Winery as a Field Marketing Manager. From that position he was placed as General Sales Manager within a distributor in South Carolina. James left South Carolina for Colorado where he was the On-Premise manager for a large wine & spirits wholesaler that eventually became SWS. Family issues brought James back to South Carolina where he worked as the General Manager of the Coastal Division for SWS. The entrepreneurial bug bit, so he left SWS to form an import company with two other partners. It was here where James was able to establish many lasting relationships around the country.

The partners eventually sold the company to a spirits importer in Chicago where James took over the reins and in five years was able to grow the company from seven million to over twenty million. Wanting to move home James was Vice President of a local West Virginia Distributor for three years. Not only did he totally restructure the company, he took it from 1.5M to over 10M creating one of the largest statewide wholesalers, he also changed the way business was done in West Virginia. In 2012 James along with a group of investors created Galaxy Distributing of West Virginia where he grew the company to over 8M in sales.  We look forward to becoming business partners with your company very soon.

Galaxy’s primary job is to act as a liaison between wineries and importers with the distributor. We will work with our suppliers to build the supplier's brand for long term.
Building new distribution partnerships is a comprehensive process and success is based on a mutual understanding of both of your long-term goals. In order to be successful, you need to think and act like a distributor - think of yourself as in the distribution business.
